Onkyo TX-SR875 voltage transformer

I have an american onkyo tx-sr875 and it uses 120v 60Hz, but it doesn't mention anything about Watts. does any one know what volatge transfomer i should use?

i think it is rated at 840w so to be on safe side you should get a transformer with 3 times rating looking at 3000va which are quite expensive over £230

870W according to the UK spec.

£230 for a transformer? See what I mean about importing from the States being a false economy?

Not only does it cost £230 pound the transformer is so big and ugly taking up more room and making extra noise. Also it cost to have it repaired sending it back an forth to the sates.

Well, if you're going to stay here and not move back to the States, an Onkyo service agent could probably change the internal transformer for you to one suitable for 230V
