Onkyo TX-NR609 and .FLAC files

Hi I have recently discoverd just how good FLAC files can sound but my problem is this - I rip cd's to FLAC which I then put on a seperate hdd located next to my receiver. I use the front usb port but albums wont play gaplessly, say something like a dj mix cd with 28 tracks which should play seamlessly have a few seconds gap between each track. Anybody know if there is a way around this?

That's probably down to the receiver rather than anything to do with them being FLAC files (I use FLAC with Sonos and gapless works fine, you can check that by creating some mp3s of one of those CDs and trying them). AIUI gapless playback isn't actually part of the DNLA standard, so any devices that do implement it are doing it as a "bonus" almost. Many still don't.
