Onkyo SR606 Settings with KEF 2005.3

Please can anyone help.

I am new to recivers and would like to know if anyone out there is anyone with same setup or amp and would like to know whats the best settings to set the reciver to for Playstation 3 via HDMI and SKY HD via HDMI or optical which ever seems better

Hi Mike,

Do you mean actual connections or settings?

Your Sky box should be connected via an optical cable to allow 5.1 as the HDMI on Sky only outputs stereo.

As for your PS3, I know it can output LPCM (multi channel sound) out from the HDMI socket, however I am not sure if you still need the optical cable for games (I do have one however it's in the box

) Hopefully someone else can shed some light?

As for your actual settings, Run Auddesy to give you a start and then make micro adjustments if you need to change anything. What you like best is the best setting for you. I have the 607 and the 1005.2, and I have to have the power on the sub way down! so if your amp is setting at -15db then you need to turn the power down and run the set up again.

I have got the setup correct its more the settings of the speakers whats all setup.

I was not 100% about the sky box though also when it comes on what settings for the sound to you put it on?
