Anyone else got any suggestions.

How does everone that has sky hd copy from their hard drive onto a disc in a dvd recorder?

What connections are you using ?

I used av2 on dvd recorder and record button and copy on sky hd. Its copied the picture fine- do i need a optical lead in the recorder ?- i get 5.1 without one !

I have optical in sky box to give me 5.1

As Andrew says
"Sorting this kind of problem is all about gradually removing possible causes, until you're left with only one solution."

It would have helped if you were clearer in the information about your problem.

As in your last post, - still no sound - from what, the Sky box, the DVD recorder?

It could well be a faulty unit. Did SKY record before and play back with sound on the DVD recorder? (which make and model?)

sorry- no sound from the dvd recorder .

I disconnected everything and then connected sky and the recorder just to the tv . I then tried to play the film again but still no sound .

Sky works fine and still copies onto the sky hard drive with picture and sound.

The dvd recorder will play pre-recorded bought discs with picture and sound.

It must be a problem /conflict in the dvd or sky settings somewhere when i record from skys hard drive onto my dvd recorder disc.

Dvd recoder is the panasonic ex75 with freeview.and hdmi
