onkyo blown ?

my onkyo 577 has just decided to pack up. all i get is the flashing red on standby light. has anyone come across this and is it worth getting repaired

Worth getting a quote for repair. Sometimes it may be due to a small capacitor failing.

I had my 606 repaired a while back, can't remember who, genserve i think, where you bought the amp from should be able to help, but if it's out of warrenty carriage is quite expensive, i paid about £120 i think last year inc. carriage for my 606.

saying that i have just seen some bad reviews on onkyo and genserve. might just by a new one.

Genserve offered very kindley (facetious face) to not charge me for parts on my Onkyo 805, and only charge £99 plus postage for labour.

I replaced the single resistor myself.
