Onkyo 806 very quick question.

hi chaps just a very quick question to all you Onkyo owners out there!

should i set the display to the lowest dimmer setting?

or can i leave it on the full light display setting with the volume control lit up as well?

would this heat the amp and lower the sound quality if i left the dimmer on full all the time!

the wife and kids like the flashy lights etc!! and she says i'm over the top about getting the best outta the kit!!

any advice?

No, it won't have any effect on heating up the amp or make it sound any different to having the display dimmed.

However, using the Pure Direct circuit, thus turning the display right off, among other things, will make the receiver sound better when playing audio-only sources.
