onkyo 805 problem

I have my amp connected to my panasonic 50pz70 and the onkyo supports the viera link function so when i power the tv on it switches the amp on thats all o.k .The problem i have is when it does switch on the amp it defaults the input to game/tv how can i change this i want it to go straight to source 1 bt vision tried swapping the cables round and all that but still it follows game/tv input when i go to osd set up thats on game/tv as well i'm lost thanks for any help.

mate, try to go in the set-up menu and change the HDMI input to TV. my suggestion that you turn off the Viera link completely and sellect the input your self, the Viera link only work well if you have a simple connection (dvd-dvdr direct to the TV without anything else). if you prefer a simple turn on for all your equipment you best buy a universal control that have an Activity mode (Logitech). you can select example watch DVD and the remote will turn on your DVD,TV to the right input,and your Amp also to the right input. Very simple.
