Onkyo 609 v yamaha 1067

Lots of deals appearing now so which should I get, I want the Cinema 2000 speaker package for the Walnut finish, but which amp. I like the idea of the new shiny Onkyo 609 in silver, plus all the new capabilities but the 1067 still looks like a great amp, any thoughts?

We are running that comparison in our demonstration room right now. The Yamaha is the better performing IMO but it should be as it is the next level up from the Onkyo.

As good as the new 609 is, I would expect the 1067 to be superior. That'd be my choice anyway 🙂

i just bought the onkyo 609 and have already added a post here about my experience , seeing this post has me now researching the yamaha you speak of !!
