Onkyo 606 and B&W 685 question

Hi

I have the Onkyo 606 reciever and am looking to upgrade my speakers, I am a big fan of the B&W 685 speaker package and would like to upgrade to these.

The only worry i have is that someone previously mentioned to me that the Onkyo 606 is not powerful enough to do these speakers justice - is there any truth in this and as such would i be wasting my money buying the B&W's?

The 606 is perfectly powerful enough to drive the 685s - it's just that a better receiver would bring out even more of what the B&Ws can do.

Out of curiosity what would be better suited (within a reasonable budget) to bring the best out of the 685's?

I'd go for an ex-dem Onkyo TX-SR876 or even the old 875, which is what I still use.

How about Yamaha 1900 with 685? or is there any cheaper range bookshelf to match 1900?
