Olive o4 or something more sofisticated

Dear All,

I want to make an upgrade in my CDP. I really love to music server concept so I am evaluating to jump to the Olive o4. my concern is if this will make and improvment in the sound compared to the actual 03 i Have? or should I move to a more sofisticated CDP? are there other options beside the olive?

Haven't heard the 03 but I'm very pleased with my 04HD.

There will be many who will say you can achieve the same or better outcome from other set ups for less money but each to their own. I'm very happy.

some one knows if it is possible to add a DAC to the Olive 03 in order to improve the sound?

No digital out so no DAC.

you can add one to the 04 though.

Are you in the UK? Fanthorpes might have an ex demo one for a good price, they offer home demos too.

is this the price for the demo? if yes it is not realy convinient. the price in Chile is 1.800 pounds new.
