OLED power consumption

as i like member gel am after same tv good job waited for oled before 4k upgrade am concerned it might use to much electric so maybe wait till 2016 with ces round the corner or just go for it?

I very much doubt the power consumption of OLEDs will drop very much year-to-year. There isn't going to be the same quantum drop in power consumption as, say, going from plasma to OLED.

uled looks promising but no review from whf but the hisense 65 inch flagship is curved which is a put off

Isn't ULED just an edge lit lcd that is 4K ?

No it uses direct LED backlight with 240 zones of local dimming.

It's still just quantum dot/silicon nano crystal whatever you want to call them. So yeah, LCD with a posh backlight.
