Does anyone know the timescale for affordable Oled tv`s to become available? I live in N.Ireland where the analogue signal is not switched off until 2012 and so thought I`d stick with my Panasonic 36" CRT before taking the HD plunge.Do you think Oled`s will be generally available by then?Just to throw another spanner in the works I saw an item on Working Lunch today with a Sky executive who mentioned 3D TV and how they`d like it up and running for the next Olympics! They had a demo running and was said to be impressive, any info on that as well?

Well Panasonic's official line is that it will introduce 3DTVs to the consumer market in 2010, but with an industry-wide standard for 3DTV still to be agreed, I remain sceptical.

And it could be several years at least before OLED sets become mainstream and affordable. By 2012? Maybe, but my crystal ball doesn't tell me how much they'll cost by then.

Do you think people will start to suffer from upgrade fatigue with all this new technology coming so (relatively) quickly after each other? Not to mention the cost!
