From the Guardian: 'SWITCH TO SUPER HI-VISION – 33 TIMES SHARPER THAN HD Keeping up with the Joneses electronics-wise just got even harder with the news that Japanese broadcasters are collaborating with the BBC on a picture 33 times sharper than High-Definition (HD) sets. HD technology is still only in its relative infancy in the UK, but researchers in Surrey and Tokyo hope to begin broadcasting in new Super Hi-Vision in as little as seven years. The BBC intends to use the technology to screen the 2012 Olympics on city-centre big screens across Britain.
