I work in marketing for a creative agency ie we do strategy & planning followed by ads, brochures, direct marketing etc etc.
I certainly won't be getting any ADM 9.1s either. The 'puter is for internet duties and a little work ie on way to client meeting and the odd presentation. Also for downloading and manipulating photos from my missus soon-to-be DSLR camera that she's getting for her birthday and Christmas. Have overspent recently but given it's tax deductible and there are some major bargains around in makes perfect sense. The MacBook Air is £1,271 at the Apple Store. £899 at JL, 40% tax means I have paid around £540 for it. Camera too, £1k's worth at RRP for £500 after cashback and again I will use it for work as we do a fair amount of competitive monitoring so can claim it.
Funnily enough Mr Pro, I was wondering how long it would take you to reply to this thread...
...no plans for the streaming stuff as yet, simply an easy to carry and 'successful' looking laptop which is quite important in a brand-led kind of industry (rightly or wrongly).
