I can't seem to find a conclusive answer to this.

Can any techies, owners or reviewers please comment on which model is better for price, picture and performance.

Off the bat, the instant answer seems to be W4500 - better blacks, extra ports and the rest. However, more than a few forums (UK and EU), have revealed owners complaining about clouding, white lines with PS3 etc.

The X3500/3000 series although older seems to stand up well and in most cases has been considered better than the new W4500 models. But are the X ravers just bias owners?

Can somebody please put an end to this loomer?

p.s. i'm after a 46" set, I'd like to get the X4500 but theres no way in hell im paying a ridiculous £3500.00 for it. So it really comes down to the W or previous X series. I own a PS3 and a few Bray movies if that helps (doubt it)

I have owned the 52X2000 since it first came out and it is an amazing TV as it should be for £3500.......

I will be taking delivery of a 40W4000 set for my bedroom in the next couple of weeks so I will keep you posted as to how they compare.....

Not sure if this helps but I have just got the Sony 40W4500U, Blue Ray and playing PS3 picture quality is fantastic, I haven't had any clouding what so ever, even watching with the freeview is good. It could be they need setting up correctly! I'm not a high tech expert but I am really impressed with this LCD. The reviews that I have read in Whathifi are spot on.

Good luck

Matthew,

I too think, the X series is still the better model to go for although it lacks some of the additional features in the W4500 range.ÿ

Which store do you work for? Im also curious to know what is the current prices in your store for

X3500 46" Bravia?

X3000 46" Bravia?

Cheers matey.
