I have had some trashed LPs but buying from selected second-hand dealers helps .Yeah, this is brand new rather than pre-owned. I had a list of three Dylan albums that I wanted, and this was the only one in stock.
I've been pleasantly surprised by how good the pre-owned Muddy Waters LP was that I picked up on the same trip. Thinking about it (big generalisation here), I suspect that most people who play vinyl are extremely careful with it, so buying pre-owned records and Hi-Fi kit just feels like a "safe" thing to do.
