I bought the above system approx. 5 months ago. It looks great and the sound is good too but, now and again, there is a crackling sound that is heard via the speakers.
I have checked the connections and all is ok.
I don`t know what is causing this and, coupled with the annoying menu system within the unit, have been looking at replacing the main unit which comprises amp & DVD/CD unit.
The Onkyo receivers seem to receive excellent praise and I wondered if such a unit coupled with the speakers that come with the Harman Kardon system would be suitable?
Also, does Onkyo have an inbuilt DVD/CD unit as I don`t want more boxes then I already have.
