Hello

The last 3 Blu-ray discs I have rented (from the same place at different times) have no sound for the main feature, or more precisely, it sounds like the soundtrack is in fast forward. The picture is fine. The trailers before the main feature are OK for sound and picture.

All the Blu-ray discs I have bought play perfectly.

My player is a Panasonic BD60EB bought from Amazon at Christmas.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Nads

The discs were: In the Loop; Edge of Darkness, and; The Men Who Stare at Goats.

Sorry, I can't find how to access what version of firmware I've got. I can see how to update it, but can't because I don't have a cable that will run the length of 3 rooms to connect the player and TV to the PC. The prospect of unhooking the AV to move it to the PC is daunting (but I guess will have to be done if necessary).

The amp is a Sony STR-DG820 is connected to the player by HDMI.

Thanks

i bet it is a firmware issue. I have watched the men who on my old Panna 35 with no issues.

and there was a firmware update for yours quite recently.

You were right. I took a long time to getting around to doing the update but it worked. The wait to watch The Men Who Stare at Goats wasn't worth it though!

Thanks for your help.

I watched it yesterday.
Terrible film !!!!

I had to do the whole firmware thing myself last week don't you hate blu-ray ?
