Overnight Sky download has resulted in input 2 signal being lost again!!! I thought my first edition Thomson box had eventually died after numerous attempts on its life by Sky.

Rang Sky ,they resolved this over the phone and advised me lots of boxes were affected .

Hope this helps someone as I was about to fit my spare box.

OK here goes,

Press services on sky remote.

Go to settings and press select.

Then key 0 1 select and this should bring up the setup screen.

Go to setup.

Scroll down to single feed mode ( which will show off ) and change to on.

Then press green button to save settings.

Box will switch off, re-boot box and wait a minute, everything ok

Seems strange that a download should switch the feedmode off but advisor told me this occured over night to certain boxes.

Single feed mode was included on the new EPG, to prevent "no satellite signal being received" messages appearing for people who, funnily enough, only have a single feed, i.e communal systems with only 1 feed into each property etc..
And as such it's default setting is "OFF" and should remain "OFF" if you have 2 cables and want to retain full functionality!!!!

Do you only have a single satellite feed/cable feeding your Sky box?

Because if not, what you've actually done is disable the second tuner and limited your recording functionality!!!!

I had the same message when I switched my (Thomson) Sky HD box on this evening.
The usual unplug for 30 seconds, plug back in and wait for 30 seconds seems to have cured the problem, at least until Sky mess it up again.

hi i am new to this forum ,hope you can help .

sky + hd box was off for few days ,now have no signal on input 2,swapped it to other room and have signals on both inputs ,but when i connect sky + box from other room it shows same problem .does this mean it is a connection fault at dish .

i have a samsung hd box ,

when i looked at the connections at the dish ,there is no tape of any sort round fittings ,could it be a moisture problem .

thanks
