Well yesterday after a couple of days looking through WhatHIFI mag and dreaming, I realised that my current set up wasn't up to much and whilst I have a little cash set aside for living I'll blow it on some entry level gear.

So cut a long story short IDEA > Richer Sounds > What HIFI > Richer Sounds > Home > eBay > WhatHIFI > eBay > HERE and NOW!

Basically I have gone and bought myself the following

Yamaha YHT-196

Sony BDT-380

(i will get the wireless dongle soon also)

I currently own

Samsung LN40A540

1m QED HDMI

3m QED HDMI

3x QED RCA/RCA

1x QED RCA/Jack

Pure i-10 iPod Dock

Ross Freesat (Its poo but aerial for freeview has gone)

My main question is what the best way to place my speakers?

heres a quick doodle of my room (red circles are current places of speakers)

Also any tips when setting it all up?

If your right speaker is so close to the wall (and worse still in a corner, you're gonna get a very uneven balance. Is there any room for manoeuvre? (that's a word I didn't realise was so hard to spell! :) ).

Maybe take a couple of photos of your room?

By the way when posting an image, use the button above on the left of the A and simply drop the URL into the first box and save.
