Nice! I saw a picture from the Bristol Show of what looked like regular amp, save for the little illumination below. The timeless styling is a wonderful design.

Good write up, though I thought the suggestion that the earlier A-S1200 amp was suitable for bookshelf speakers was rather strange.

I was recently at Yamaha Music London for a work event and heard a 3000 series system fronted by their £9k turntable. The top-end Yamaha kit is superb.
