New Yamaha amplifiers coming soon?

I've just had a Sevenoaks engineer in to install the cabling for my new surround sound set-up. Ideally I was hoping to get it all in and working today, but due to the well publicised stock situation, I have to wait a bit longer for my Yamaha DSP AX-763. I have been told that I should receive mine by the end of the month. However I was also told by the engineer that replacement Yamaha models are imminent, and that it may be worth waiting for one of those.

Does anyone have any news of replacements for the 763/863, and should I wait even longer? I would find it frustrating to have waited since the first week in January only for a better model to come out a few weeks later....

im not to sure on new yamaha models i was in richersounds today and they never mentioned anything but the stock levels have been very annoying lately.

like i said i was in richersound today and was hoping to come away with a new amp i had 4-5 amps in mind yamaha 763/863, onkyo 606, denon av1909, sony 2400se only thing they had was a 606 in silver yuk! i managed to come away with a black one in the end as a manager over heard me and mentioned they had a returned open box sr606 which i managed to get for 309.89 which was a good deal it was brand new the other customer return to get 806 instead im happy.

but and theres always a but i ordered q acoustics 1010i 5.1 online got an email few hours later and that my order would be shiped minus the sub as there awaiting shipment from japan 🙁 🙁

this is my first home cinema systems ever is it always like this or am i just buying at the wrong time or just unlucky?
