New tv and blu - ray....

Bonjour everybody, just bought the Sammy ue48h6400 tv and Sony bdps 7200. Can anyone recommend which hd cables I should buy? I should only need 1m length so no need to spend loads. Also can anyone recommend calibration software for this set i've heard some Sammy sets can be tricky to set up. lastly, any ideas for how to make my tv room darker? I can't use paint as it's a rented flat and the magnolia wallpaper is too light when viewing etc

P.S any recommendations for a soundbars would be great

Just buy a standard HDMI cable.

Check thatcable.com or Neet HDMI cable for example which I'm using in my system.

Dark curtains or curtains with blackout lining will help darken a room.

Look at Spears and Munsil calibration disc. Ideally you should get your TV professionally calibrated after you've run the TV in for 200 hours.

What's your budget for soundbar? Yamaha is supposed to be very good.
