New Speakers and or System

Hello everyone!

I'm new here. I'm Jonathan

My current hifi in the main room is a Denon DRA107DAB Hifi and I have a Sansui FR-D35 automatic direct drive to go with it. Also I have and still use Sony MiniDisc Walkman MZ-N707. The speakers I have for this came from an old Technics system which I no longer have (SB-HD350).

In my bedroom I also have a Denon DM38 Hifi but with Monitor Audio BR1 speakers.

Anyway that is my setup.

I am thinking of doing a speaker (and or System) upgrade for either room. Any suggestions? I have seen a good deal on a Denon DM39 and Dali Zensor. £320 for Zensor 1 package and £450 for Zensor 3. Are they worth upgrading to from my Monitor Audio speakers? I saw these deals onhifix.co.uk, thats where I got my last hifi from. Or even some other suggestions that I could look at.

Would appreciate any suggestions on this.

regards

Jonathan

Hi Jonathon how are you?

Sorry if you posted this elswhere and have already had responce from others.

I have Monitor Audio BR1 speakers on my Hi-Fi that is in my bedroom. The Hi-Fi is made up of Cambridge Audio seperates and the speakers to me work really well with them.

What I'm saying is you can upgrade the Hi-Fi no problem and get even more from the speakers.

With regards your main system I would upgrade the speakers or at least try you Monitor Audio ones on it and see if they work any better. That way you will be sure if a new set of speakers will sound better or not on your main system.

Monitor Audio BR1 will sound much better with any decent even budget amp.

As for the Denon DRA107DAB system, adding better speakers to it can't be a satisfying long term solution.
