new pioneer recievers, help

Hello,

I am looking to upgrade my 2400es a level and am considering the new pioneer vsx lx53, partly because of the review in the latest mag. It also has 2 hdmi outputs, which is good for me to connect a tv in another room. However does anyone kindly know if this receiver or previous models allow hdmi signal passthrough in standby mode. I have scoured the tinternet for some info but couldn't find anything. I know some denon and onkyo receivers allow this as long as you do the appropriate settings, please help?

I'm not sure off the top of my head, but being part of the LX series, I would expect it to. I'll see if I can find out on Tuesday.

I like the look of this amp, hopefully it will match well with my speakers. I wonder if sony will release one at this price range soon to compete.

Unfortunately it doesn't have HDMI pass-through, but then most amps that do it are actually on anway, it just looks like they're in standby
