Customised Spectacles Engineer or CSE specialist

Do you dine at a butcher's place? No. You instead go to a posh restaurant or make a home gala meal for yourself and your loved ones. They are both separate with distinct roles and specialities.

Just like that, there must be multinational luxury designer eyewear brands producing customised eyewear that fits above the eyebrows, either at their own various brand stores spread globally or partnered with an eye store.

Opticians won't have to do all of the tasks, and so there will be numerous jobs created, specialising in specific areas of the complete customer's eyewear and lens fitting journey, accompanied by state-of-the-art technology at every stage.

I jest 😊.
Not something I can comment with any value but interesting, it is stirring up some comments. 👍

Yes, in regards to all the efforts of the butcher, everyone goes to restaurants to have their meals prepared by chefs.

Similarly, why should an optician be responsible for all of the tasks? They shouldn't, that's why an optician, an customised designer eyeframe advisor, lens selection, etc., are all involved in the customer buying and decision-making process.

All I'm trying to convey is that there are no professionals involved in the eye frame selection per individual, and for expanded premium frame options to choose from.
Currently, the frames that are available have very generic shapes with the premium designs underlining the luxury brands' portfolios and are not individual-driven shapes and sizes.

Then, even at home, if not a regular restaurant goer, you don't go to the butcher shop to eat, do you? No.
You're asking the wrong person - haven't eaten meat in decades.

Even so, the analogy is flawed - food is a literal consumable, glasses are not. And the notion that those of who wear specs want the whole process made more complicated is, at the very least, misjudged.

No one travels after work to a farmhouse either for lunch/dinner. It’s still away from the agricultural area.

I’m trying to compare the occupations here of that of a butcher, chef to that of the optician, frame advisor. All are specialists in their respective fields and hence so many delicacies and high rated recipes are available.

So, the current eyewear industry has so many shortcomings. Standard size eye frames, limited choices of selected brands and styles for the perfect size, little room for frame exploration and user collections, major deviation from choosing premium lenses to that of store specific customised lenses, etc. It’s coz, all of the customer’s journey sits with that one optician and the team, present at the store, with very limited frame choices anyways.

You really aren't grasping that no-one else sees things like you do. No-one wants to buy shoes and then have to get them soled elsewhere, no-one wants to buy a car that hasn't got any wheels only to have to go and get them from somewhere else.

But no matter, I'm done here.
