May I ask in what way you find it slow? Is it the tray mechanism, the disc reading speed or the responsiveness of its controls?

Of course. It's the disc read time, and the time to start playing. I think that's probably part of what makes it so rock solid in playback of any disc I throw at it, and it isn't something which especially bothers me, but it's the sort of information worth mentioning in feedback to another potential buyer.
