4K2K projectors? You'll have a bit of a wait - it'll be 5-10 years before they even get down to the sort of price you'll pay for a high end projector right now. And I doubt very much you'll see 'budget' ones - it's taken 720p a good 6 years to get down to £500, and that's in a fast moving market Get yourself a decent 1080p PJ for 5 years, then re-assess.

I'm sure they will upscale, otherwise you'll be watching a quarter size 1080p picture in the middle of the screen - and one that's a quarter of the size of that when watching SD.

3D is just a buzzword at the moment. And the hardware is no good without plentiful software. And when that does become available, what will HMV be charging for 3D Blurays? If they have The Day The Earth Stood Still for £25, the 3D version will probably be £35. No thanks, I'll stick to a high quality 2D projector and £10/12 BD's.

Regards

David
