Hi everyone im looking to upgrade the front speakers to my home cinema setup my budget is around £600 ive been looking at floorstanders and narrowed it down to the mordaunt short aviano 6 in walnut and have just seen these today for £450 a saving of £150 compared with most other online retailers,or do i go for the monitor audio bronze bx5s,or lastly the q acoustic 2050s the cheaper of the three. Both the avianos and the bx5s have received 5 star reviews in this magazine any help or advice from you guys on this forum would be much appreciated.

You could:

1) Keep rears and add the QA 2000 series centre with the QA 2050 that you buy before xmas...it's not a massive upgrade, but the 1030i made quite a difference to my set up.

2) Audition the Mordaunt Short 6/5/1 (floorstanders/centre/rears) and the Monitor Audio BX5/BX centre/BX1 or BXFX and see which you like....(both would be an improvement over the QA 1010i, but only a slight improvement were you to do option one first.)

3) Save up for a bigger improvement, and look for better floorstanders, like the B&W 684, Monitor Audio RX6 or KEF Q500's... this idea would also depend on what other equipment you current have. If you have a £300 receiver, then option one or two would be fine.....

Hope that helps a bit......
