Got the opportunity today to buy a NAD C352 amp for £85 as a replacement for my frankly disappointing yamaha ax 396. Seems like a good price to me but thought id see if anyone could offer any insight/opinion before handing over the cash. Any advice is appreciated... thanks guys.

If you can get the NAD for that price then WOW!
It's a stonking amp and they usually go for c£180/£200 via eBay etc...
However, from memory, there were 2 versions of the NAD C352 and the latter version had a small 'R' under the volume knob. This was the better of the 2 amps.
Make sure that all the switches and terminals work fine on the amp before buying but yeah, damned good price and I'm not in the least bit jealous...

Well... Ok... Mebbee a lil bit 🙂

lol, well good job i bought it while waiting for a reply then... for 85 quid its worth a punt anyways. First impressions are good, had a quick listen to some Within Temptation and there is a clear improvement in clarity, with an especially sharper bass, so if it continues then 85 smackers well spent 🙂.

and the deal just got even better, the same guy today sold me the NAD c542 cdp he also had for 75 quid and threw in a pair of VDH the source hybrid interconnects for free... happy days 🙂

lol good idea but ill keep i think, been running an embarrasingly poor hifi setup for years with upgrades always relegated to next months wages 🙂 but there's nothing like a good deal to get you back in the mood...
