Hi all

I currently have a Project Xpression turntable with AT440MLb cartridge. It is connected to a NAD C352 integrated amp through a NAD Phono Preamp PP2. My CD player is a NAD C542. All going through Monitor Audio Bronze 2 speakers

The question is, I am not sure whether to upgrade the amp or the turntable and pre amp. From an amp point of view I really am not sure what to look at for around £500. Turntable wise I am looking at the Rega Planar 3. Can anyone help me?

I might be looking to upgrade the speakers......
If you’re looking elsewhere, I’m not sure if £500 would get a massive upgrade. I’d consider a Rega Brio. Brilliant amp with outstanding phono stage built in. Kills two birds with one stone and will happily live with the Planar 3, if not more.

What are peoples views on the Rega Planar 3 & Marantz 6007 AMP as a pairing?

I like the idea of digital inputs for the NAD C542 CD player and the Denon DNP-800NE. Unless connecting through analogue connections is fine?

I don't think the Planar 3 would be a big upgrade over your current turntable, more a sideways move that would restrict your future cartridge choice unless you are adept at changing tonearm height.
