Hello Paul . I'd like to be able to tell you that a new lcd screen will cure those reflections . But it won't . My new Sony is not quite as reflective as the Samsung plasma it replaced , but I still see reflections , albeit much fuzzier ones . Some of the other lcd makers have alledgedly made 'darker' and maybe more 'matte' screens , but they have been criticized for picture quality accordingly.

When we had the shiny Samsung , we had to close the curtains and re-locate some internal lights. The neighbours must have thought we were having lots of impromptu daytime sex . You may be better off keeping what you have and doing the same .Shutting the curtains , that is .

Try the new Pioneer KRL-46V 46" Kuro LCD. It offers 1080p, high contrast, an attractive brushedÿaluminium finish and, most importantly, an anti-reflective screen and ambient light sensor that optimises on-screen images according to the brightness of your room. It comes at a price though, it costs £2,000, although not many good 46" TVs go for around £1,000, so you should stick to a smaller size.
