I suppose people could save a third of their annual spend by only subscribing in the months whose name contains any of the letters in ‘Netflix’. This also seems to preferentially omit months in spring and summer when new releases seldom appear anyhow.

That's true, I don't relaly watch any netflix until something comes up.
