Joe Cox means well but is talking absolute rubbish. All streaming services should pay out royalties based on each and every play. Spotify does not do that.

When apple music and tidal pays artists more than Spotify, have lossless audio and are already far cheaper, why on earth would I pay more for Spotify? It's the worst streaming service for users and for one of the worst for artists.
