Hi all

sorry if this isnt in the right place but you all on here seem REALLY helpful!!

Just took delivery of my 37px80 today and blu ray looks fantastic!

I've got Sky+ and using the same SCART I have used for years....will a new (Cambridge audio perhaps?) SCART lead improve my sky picture?

At the moment it looks ok, but ok (say) Sky News/Sky sports, the tickers look out of focus no matter what I try and do with the picture settings....missus wont be happy!!

Any help!

Got a noticeable improvement when I used one of the QED SQart cables for my PVR. Can't say whether this will be as noticeable for you or not as depends how good your existing one is though (previously I was just using an unbranded freebie).

From memory (had it about 5 yrs now!) it was probably just a 'decent' one i.e. cost less than a tenner probably.

Will take a trip over to Richer Sounds or somewhere and perhaps get a newer one.

Same for me - same set up/TV, same problem - Freeview is very good - Sky SD only slightly above average - I bought a Cambridge Audio premium SCART too (£19.95), so you might want to look out for an IXOS or QED one.

Help!

The more i read, the more confused i become.I'm assuming that the tv,sky box & the blue-ray all have hdmi sockets.

My understanding was that hdmi would replace the scart cables,so why is a new scart required in this case.
