I bought my first house and I would like to setup a 5.1 surround system to enhance my movie watching experience. I am a novice in these things, so learning a lot through the internet.
I want to first buy a soundbar for front 3 channels and a subwoofer. Then later, I would buy the rear two surround speakers. I want to go with Bose soundbar 700 and bass module 700.
The surface area of my living room is 5.5m X 3.6m. However, I have a little opening in the ceiling about 1.8m X 4.8m through the first floor. I want to know from you experts if Bose 700 will sound good with such a open ceiling.
Also, I would like to know if Dolby Atmos system like Bose 900 would sound good in such a room?
