NEED HELP DECIDING WHETHER TO BUY A NEW AMP & CD PLAYER OR JUST UPGRADE THE RECIEVER I HAVE ALREADY? AT THE MIN I'M USING A PS3 TO STORE AND PLAY THE MUSIC. THE RECIEVER IS SONY'S 1200ES AND SPEAKERS ARE KEF IQ5SE. I'M LOOKIN AT SPENDIN AROUND £1000 FOR THE AMP & CD PLAYER OR IS IT WORTH SPENDING THE FULL £1000 A DECENT RECIEVER AND MAYBE GETTIN A DAC???

That's a healthy budget for an upgrade.
You already have decent speakers, so getting a proper integrated amplifier would be best if music is your priority.
