I have just sold one on AV Forums and would like a new one or ex-display one. Not sure with budget. There is a recliner one with stool at John Lewis for £850 I quite like, and a stressless one for £800 I like. But then there is money, and I saw one in IKEA for £135 including recliner and stool. I would preferably have it in black and must recline or have a foot stool. Any ideas people? Thanks

Here is the stressless one I like:

You can get a La-Z-Boy for less than 700, Gel

I've heard bad things about La-Z-Boy reliability over time - leather getting torn etc. It put me off getting one. Stressless a better bet, in my view.

I've not heard any of those stories. The leather is covered by a 1 year guarantee and the rest of the chair is covered by either a 10 year or lifetime guarantee.

It's not an original Eames, that would cost you silly money, but it's incredibly stylish and comfortable.

Gel, If you can stretch your budget, I've found the king of home cinema chairs for ya! Electric full recliner, drinks storage, heat and massage. It's 1300 knicker, though

At the other end of the spectrum, I've found a La-Z-Boy knock off, from a reputable seller on the Bay for 200 quid.

Very tempting for film club activities *biggrin*

Now if someone could "educate" the spam filter, that would be a welcome christmas present.

I tried the original Herman Miller Eames lounge chair and it is the most comfortable chair I've ever sat in and beats dedicated home cinema style seating from the likes of Palliser. Agree that it is silly money. If the "exact copies" are just as comfortable, it would be worth considering.

I don't think a 1 year guarantee for the leather is long enough. Palliser offer a 5 year guarantee for the leather.

Cheers for the advice.

I will help you choose the right ergonomically designed cinema chairs to complete your at-home cinema experience, and install it in your purpose-built home theater space. I can supply and install industry-leading home theatre chairs including Gold Class quality recliners chair with all the bells and whistles; or you may want the vintage vibe with the look and feel of an old school cinema.
Well that sounds like an offer I can’t refuse! 🙂
