Hi All,

Ihave just recently taken advantage of a great deal at the bristol what hi fi show.

This being two sonos wireless speakers and bridge.

I have sighned up for a months trial with napster which i find ok but now again can take ages to load any music!!

Just wondering if anyone out there has any experince with this particular set up and could recomend any alternative.

Forgive my ignorance on this matter but i am a fanatic old school listener who likes nothing more than to spin the odd cd!!!!!

There are occasional problems on Sonos with Napster at the moment which are better than they were but still need fixing (and they are doing so). They are rare for me. It should start pretty instantly. The Sonos customer support is very good so get in touch with them if it is a constant problem

As your subject header suggests - Spotify is the other option - more expensive, better bit rate, the user playlists, smaller selection of tracks.

There are other services such as Deezer on Sonos but I have never found a use for it. Also last fm but you may well have to pay for that now.

The other thing with Spotify people miss out on is Collaborative playlists. If you want a shared playlist that you and a friend can edit, you simply make the playlist Collaborative by right clicking it, then give him the link to it. Then you can both add/remove songs at your leisure. I have a few of those on the go just no and they are easily my most listened to playlists. Plus with spotify you can use it on your smartphone, save songs for offline listening etc.
