I rather like the look of this new NAD DAC, which I believe will be available early Autumn. No joy as yet trying to find out the likely price, though. I don't suppose any forumite with inside knowledge could advise? :)

Looks great. I'm still not convinced by this whole 'wireless' thing though. It's easy sure, but does it work interference free ?

It's similar to the rDac in wireless mode - note they both don't use wifi but proprietary wireless technology, which I'm sure has interference avoidance built-in. Also, both only support standard-res in wireless mode.

Details for this unit are still tentative, no release date or pricing as yet! It is supposed to use Kleer Technology which yes, automatically skips channels to avoid interference like the rWave from Arcam.

Update on this: hificorner.co.uk are asking £295 for the NAD DAC - presumably on pre-order as I don't think it's available yet. I have to say this is disappointingly expensive, so I won't be buying.

Compared to what?

Compared to the rDac for instance, and the NAD supports plain vanilla 16/44 only. As a wireless device it's not badly priced though - but know what you're buying. It's strictly USB only.

£30 less than an rDAC but yes only able to do up to 16/44.1 which unfortunately is the spec Kleer has been designed for. Expected to arrive Mid September.
