Hi, looking for advice,

Currently my Nad CD player is off at the fixers as the front buttons have stopped working (not to much of a problem), but recently my Nad Amp C 326BEE has been doing a few strange things....

Recently its been turning itself off - Not to much of a problem as I can simply turn it back on. But today I noticed another problem.....The power button started flashing, 1st it was blue and flashing, so I turned it off. Later I turned it back on and now its red and flashing.

Does any one know what this flashing means?

BTW, the amp is still under garantee, so if its a problem Id need to know what it might be

cheers for any advice!

Hmmm... Unfortunately if the blue light is now red; to me, that says it's gone in to safe mode!

It may be that a fuse has gone or a circuit of sorts. Something may have shorted out or your speaker cable could have made contact with the amp's chassis/casing.

Do you know if you've had a powercut recently that's happened whilst you've been out of the house?

It could be something as simple as the speaker cable is not making a good enough connection, that happened with me.

A quick check of the manual confirms what Dan says. Your amp is in protection mode. Check all connections. Also worth trying the amp without the speakers connected to see if they are presenting an issue to the amplifier.

Cheers for the advice..

Iv just swapped the speaker cable, unplugged the dvd, TT, but have left my apple TV attached. I have also re plugged all the plugs........and no change. Keeps setting itself to Protection Mode after about 30mins.

Its posible its the Apple Tv, so Ill unplug that one tomorrow and try again.

BUT!!!! Iv just put my hand on the top of the amp and stinking hot...really really hot (not sure how best to discribe it other than HOT!). So im now wondering if its overheating. Also its very well ventilated with nothing on top

So, whats the thought on overheating AMPs?

Now kinda wishing I never bought Nad gear...My amps not working and my CD player currently off getting fixed too, only had them for 7 months.

my amps run very cold..I heard them for about 1 or 2 hours and I keep some paper manuals on top to keep dust from getting in,and I even listen to them without removing the manuals from top and...after 1 or 2 hours...they still are nowhere near warm.

The amp shouldnt be getting that hot so I think you need to contact the dealer and ask them to take a look!
