My living room is relatively small, about 1344 cu ft. and I am highly interested in getting this amp. I plan on hooking it up with an undecided receiver for movies. I listen to electronic music (house/trance/prog/dnb) as well as heavy metal/rock - go figure! So, I am curious about what speakers I should use for my front/stereo setup. I have been doing a lot of reading and understand for volume I will need the speaker sensitivity to be high due to the amp being 50w. (It is the highest nad avalible here.) I would prefer floorstanders as I will not be looking at a sub for a while. I reside in South Korea, so my choices can be limited due to price variations and brands (but most are here I believe - possible not the right price) I have noticed that people suggest b&w dm603 which I can get for 880,000 won and acoustic energy aegis neo 3 which can be had for 740,000 won. Current exchange to quid is 1.00 GBP = 1, 962 won. Thanks in advance. .. Oh and I will need to consider the purchase of a center and surrounds as well.

Thanks to d_a_n1979 as your posts helped me to home in on the amp! I assume that this is the best for me.. .

What about monitor audio br5? I can get the set with brlcr and br1 for about 1,000,000 won or just the br5 for 689,000 won. I am not sure about mixing and matching speakers later. Is that considered okay?

Wow, was hoping to get a response by now, oh well...trying to be patient.

Some other speaker brands I see here are Wharfdale, Q acoustics, Mordaunt Short, Jamo, Paradigm, Elac, Polk Audio, KEF, JBL, Rogers, Dali, Mission, Klipsch, Tannoy, Engergy, Triangle and I am sure there are a few more. I won't be able to test, I am going blind so I really need some help - even just some help to narrow the list and then, in turn, to verify just before I purchase.

Once, again should I stick with the same brand for surrond and center?

Cheers.. .

Good choice of amp. The C325BEE is VERY hard to beat without spending big bucks.

The MA Bronze series would be a good choice, as would the Wharfedale Diamonds. I'd also consider the Quad 5.1 speaker package depending on prices where you are.

I would definitely stick to the same brand and series for all your speakers. It is particularly important to do this across the front and centre channels.

I have 325bee and would strongly recomended Mordaunt-Short Avant series (have 902is). If you would look for floorstander maybe 904/914i or 906/916i combination.

Little warning : Nad plays 902i (witch is same as 904i just standmounts) with ease, I usually listen music on 8 o'clock and i think 50w is really conservative measure of power from Nad.

Cheers.

Good recommendations. You should definitely try the Avants with the NAD. Cracking speakers.

mattewpiano, so it is better to stick with the same brand and series? Okay, I was curious about this because I thought I would put more cash into the hifi speakers than the other's so that I may be able to get better hifi speakers and skimp on the A/V side of things. So you think the MA br5 are good or br6?

You think a good choice in amp as well?

Thanks for the info Toshiro. I will look into those ASAP.

I am surprised there aren't any supporters of the b&w dm603 or acoustic energy aegis neo 3 that I mentioned in my inital post.

I really must be getting excited because I just woke in the night to check this forum.. hehehe.

BR5s are excellent and will match the NAD kit very well. If you really want to go for better hi-fi speakers at least make sure you match the centre speaker to them. For example, if you go with MA RS6 floorstanders at the front, match them with the Silver series centre speaker. You could then use Bronze series for the rest until you can afford to upgrade them to Silver.

Yes, I think the amp is a great choice. I used to have a C325BEE and regretted parting with it. Its a very musical and enjoyable amplifier. In fact, I like it so much that my new one is due to arrive tomorrow!!!! (I will state, however, that I will be A/B comparing it with the excellent Pioneer A400 I'm using at the moment and making a choice between the two once I've had chance for some good long listening sessions).
