NAD C 545 Bandwith filter - anyone used it?

Notice my new 545 has got a bandwith filter switch which allows you to select a 'slow' option which is supposed to better for higher-bitrate recordings.

Has anyone used this and noticed a difference - which is the preferable setting ?

I tried it a few times when I had a C545BEE and it made no discernable difference.
