Will a Mrantz pm6003 or a Brio 3 sound significantly better than my existing NAD when partnered with KEFQ300's. Is the Creek Evo 1 still worth buying at the £200 mark

Hi emptage

I'll recommend that you look for another NAD amplfier. The C325BEE works a treat with the Q300's :)

All the best

KEF themselves have been using Marantz at shows and exhibitions, so they obviously feel there's a synergy there that is hard to ignore. From all the amplifiers we've tried (Marantz/Yamaha/NAD/Rotel etc), we tend to agree. In addition to that, we've not really found any amplifier to not work well with the Q300's, so your Brio 3 will work fine with them as they're very easy to drive. I would go with the Rega or the Marantz.
Your NAD 3020 will sound fine with them, but they will appreciate something with a little more oomph.

Thanks for the reply

I have always had the impression that the NAD326BEE was rather bassy soI am surprised that is recommended for the KEFQ300's

But that is the joy of posting questions on here in that you get suggestions you wouldn't have thought of
