Thanks... ;)

They certainly are... And at present are in my bedroom as a stereo pair...

I am seriously considering taking advantage of the 20% offer from KEF on the Reference range...

Dreaming of 201/2 all round with 202/c... Just trying to locate dealers nearby(ish) for demo?!

Really do wish I could post photos properly... :?

Very nice indeed......now how does it all sound?

- If the floor is suspended, you should put some Granite / Auralex Grammas under the speakers.

- You should have the option of two types of feet.....if you haven't done, you should experiment with spikes (+ spike shoes) or the metal feet. This allows you to get them level with the spirit-level provided.

- Next, 2 channel! :shifty:

That all looks stunning.

If those LS50s are sitting on wooden cabinets, you might be interested in Auralex Speaker Dudes / MoPads to decouple them from it: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Auralex-Speaker-Dudes-HD-speakerdudes/dp/B00266HBSU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1364326402&sr=8-3

Thanks man!

I will look into those for sure... I had been considering some sort of gel isolation pads as i am in need for them with the 202/2c...Still haven't been brave enough to up end the 203/2's to put the shoes on......

Also found your link to the ultra audio review very helpful and informative... I am just about to order some upgraded jumpers also

Took your previous comments on board regarding 2ch (which i am now really enjoying) and had a brief demo/comparison of the Majik DS (was actually a DSi used only for streaming) and a ND5XS with Rega speakers (RS5 I think) and Naim amplification. I was very impressed with both to be honest and it was great to get a feel for the different control interfaces... I loved both the punchy, slightly forward sound from the Naim and the equally detailed but slightly more easy going (to my ears) of the Linn... I really felt both would work well in my system so I am currently evaluating my options... I feel i would need a proper home demo next...

I have not been able to subdue my passion for a new sub too... There are quite a few highly regarded options available so that may take presidence as my next upgrade...

Thanks again for the helpful comments and knowledge... keep 'em coming! ;)

- I have mine sitting on Granite worktop savers with sorbothane pads in between.

- To up end your speakers:

1. Get help

2. Do it on a thick Duvet.

- IMO The jumpers make a difference.....get the same cable as you are using.

- The only way you will tell which streamer to go for, is a home dem. The Kefs are very different to the Rega, and a forward punchy sound might be too much.....but you won't know until you listen.

- What is your budget for the Sub, and the size of room (HxWxD)?

- Remember the Sneaky DS is half the cost of the MDS, and is very good indeed.....thus you might get a sub and a source.

(At a later date, the Sneaky could provide a source for your second room, using the same NAS...when you upgrade to an ADS! :shifty: )

Re the subwoofer; there aren't any funds in place as we speak but I would imaginge around the 2-3k mark and i am perfectly happy with ex demo from a dealer...

I have been looking at B&W DB1, JL audio Fathom f110/f112, Ken Kreisel DXD12012... or possibly an ex demo Reference 208...open to suggestions...

Room dimensions (hxwxd) are 6mx6mx6m... the height only being so high as its all vaulted here... I may be moving this year so would be looking to arrange a similar setup however maybe with a slightly reduced room size but not too significant.

I am sure that I would need a home demo of the streamer candidates too...

And whilst I am loving the re-emergence of the avr350 with the LS50's I feel funds need to be directed back at the main system... and that's not fair to bring the ADS into this :shhh:

IMO You should be looking at Sealed Subs, which would rule out the 208.

The Fathom and the KK are good shouts.......I also rate Velodyne SPL Ultra and DD+ series. I suspect you might need a 15" Sub or possibly two 10" ones if you continue with a 6m ceiling height.

SVS SB13 Plus / Ultra are good value subs.

Paradigm Studio Sub 12 / 15; or in a smaller room, the Seismic 110 (x2).....might also be put on your list.

Woooow, I just saw your latest pics ... You know I used to like your old setups, they just look stunning ...but this now is jaw dropping . Congrats. to you for the new set-up , and the sub looks grand ...
One thing...as previously suggested , you ought to get a good 2ch amp now . those fronts will flourish if used as stereo set up . Probably the way to do it is as I have done - via a high quality switch . This way you feed the floorstanders through the Receiver ( using them as 7.1 surround ) and the stereo amp ( using them as 2ch stereo ) . Then you don`t need another pair of fronts and you are using the best of both worlds by only switching via the switch , which in your case should be something of a really high quality . I am using Beresford ( british make ) which is less than £ 100 and works a threat for my Mezzo 6`s , but they are much lower quality speakers than your-ones , so you should be probably considering something even better..... Hope that helps

Hiya and thanks once again :) Not in your league at all , but yes , for what it is it does sound nice... I need to update my pictures , as I have moved back to UK and got all my gear with me. It is all the same , but in a new house , the fronts are separated a bit farther , and I`ve chosen a nice tick carpet in the lounge ...so soundstage and acoustics now - far better :) Really happy now...Will post some pics soon
