Hi first time poster so please be gentle 🙂 This is my living room setup, I know there are better ones out there (quite a few judging by this forum) but this is all my humble income can afford. Saying all that I am at the moment really happy with it, The last addition was the tannoy 5.1 speaker set. This was a rather reasonable £400 and certainly delivers better sound than the cheap yamaha speakers I used to use. I tend to buy last years tech meaning I can take advantage of the price drops when Sony et al are peddling their new wares, this keeps it cheap enough for me to try and keep up with the new stuff. I am probably going to add a projector next as I really want that big screen wow factor. Anyway enough of my ramblings here are some pics..............hopefully 🙂

Oh well I guess the pics didnt work 🙁

Thanks mate, I was beginning to lose the will to live. Never did understand uploading pics 🙁

lol yeah I know, will probably get the Logitech harmony one when funds/the missus allows.

Nice rig man! Nothing wrong with last year's tech as it can still deliver and save you a fortune at the same time - that's exactly my approach (my system is here: http://community.whathifi.com/forums/t/566778.aspx). I will echo the views on you being badly in need of a universal remote - if you don't want to wait until funds come available for a Logitech, I would recommend the One For All URC 7960 - I paid £17 on Amazon a couple of months ago and it does everything I want it to - codes are available for all my kit, it 'learns' from existing remotes and can also be programmed for 'activities' where it turns on everything needed at the same time. I tried a couple of Harmonys (inc. the One) and didn't really get on with them - I don't mind compromising on requirements a bit but not when I'm also paying £100 for the privilege!!)

You got the full 5.1 surround set for £400. Seems a great price.

You state you are really happy with it. This is what matters!!

Projector would be a great idea. Nothing like the big screen experience.

Thats a real smart set-up and one i'd be proud of.......Enjoy it.

Thanks messiah for doing the second pic. Thanks for all the comments, I have looked at other universal remotes but just really love the look of the logitech. Also been looking at projectors and two have caught my eye. Both are by Optoma, the HD200x 1080p and the HD600x 720p but 3D ready. Not sure which one would be best.
