Hi there. Glad you like my set up. Just need to change my surrounds from little JVC satellites to some speakers that match the size of my fronts and upgrade my speaker cable.

As Gel pointed out my kit is listed in my signature. The TV I'm very proud to say is a 50 inch Pioneer Kuro LX5090. I managed to win it on ebay that had the Blu-Ray pllayer in the same auction for half the price both items would have been when the were new. The TV still hade 2.5 yeas Pioneer warranty on it too.

Cheers mate. Looks like you got quite a set up too. We have the same BD player. So when you say your TV is THX callibrated does it have the THX option in the picture mode? Or have you run a THX set up disc through it?

Did you feel the Chord Silverscreen HDMI gave you better blacks against cheaper/other HDMI cables and a much cleaner picture construnction?

I just bought my HDMI cables at the time because WHF were saying they were the best ones to go for. I have compared with slightly cheaper ones but it didn't seem to make much difference. Whether there is or not I can't really be bothered to find out. I still buy the ones that WHF recommends now when I need ones, which is this one now:
