To be honest I think all that geology stuff is rubbish anyway - I mean who actually heard of a valley that looks like a sheep?

I saw the roche mountinee (excuse my welsh) thing, what a disapointment that turned out to be.

I agree. Life is to short to be deadly serious all the time. I think a lot of people enjoyed the cut and thrust of the lite hearted banter that this thread produced.

Fantastic thread! For some reason, scree always stuck in my mind from geography - it collected at the bottom of glaciers I think. Too much of that and you couldn't even get in your house, let alone have a problem with moraines...
