Firstly I apologise for the phone pics, it's all I have at the moment.

Secondly I'm aware the positions aren't ideal but I live in a listed building with an uncooperative girlfriend so I got what I got. It means I cannot put wires in the wall or change the appearance permanently hence the wires for my router.

The front left is just behind the side of the TV which I know isn't ideal but it works.

The center speaker isn't strictly in the center which took some tweaking with levels to put right but it isn't too bad. Before anyone suggests that the TV went above the fire place and all the gear in it I'm afraid the Girlfriend was having none of it.Ohh and please excuse my Labrador in the bottom right, he was the price had to pay for getting a new TV...

The seating position

My homemade solid oak speaker stands with a rather scruffy bit of speaker cable hanging out the side which I didn't notice until I had uploaded [:$]

I'll take some better pics if I get chance. The room is about 5m deep by 4m wide.

Suggestions and comments welcome.

Love the solid oak speaker stands. Would look even better if cut to the same dimensions as the speaker.

tough crowd... i think the solid oak is nice. looks like a nice place, is the GF impressed with the sound?
