My 1st NAS: WD MyCloud or Synology 214se?

I'm going to move my CD collection over to a NAS, and will likely buy a Cambridge Audio Minx Xi to play the files.

I want to keep costs to a minimum, and the WD MyCloud looks good at £115. But there do seem to be some negative feedback where these units are unreliable.

Another option seems to be the Synology 214se, which would cost £120 + £80 for each 2Tb drive would come out at £280.

Is the Synology worth a premium of 140% over the WD, or is it likely to be sufficient of my needs (single user, no video streaming)?

Any other advice to help me decide?

Thanks!

Have a look at the Zyxel NSA325 2 bay NAS (about £90 on dabs)

With a throughput of around 80MB/s its probably the best 2bay NAS for the money.

Thanks for the steer. Seems to be a good machine, so at £85 from BT Shop I have one on order plus 2 x 3Tb WD Red drives.
